Hey all,
I'm once again without a computer so I'm starting to think this may happen more often than not! But I'm on St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. It's the first tropical island I've ever been to and it's much different than I expected. It's really quite beautiful and I was able to find some tropical fish and a beach front bar, but I'm actually surprised to see that life here for the people who live here is very similar to normal life back home. The people I've met are working hard, tired, ready to get out and relax, ... I snorkeled thinking maybe I'd see a fish or two but to my surprise, the fish I saw were just like you see on National Geographic. They were everywhere and of every color. They gave us dog cookies to feed to the fish. You hold out the dog cookie and within 1 minute there's 100 tropical fish of probably 25 different species all trying to bite at it. I took a video but I'm not sure if I can post it on this site but we'll see.
Update... I'm at a bar near the ship with free wifi, but It's pouring rain now! I'm having a great time... I just have to get to the ship leaving in 1 hr.
Here's some pictures of St. Thomas:
